At Custom Protect Ear, we take pride in offering industry-leading warranties that match the exceptional quality of our dB Blocker® hearing protection products. We stand behind everything we make, ensuring you have the best experience with our custom hearing devices.
Comprehensive Product Warranty
All dB Blocker® custom hearing devices come with a 3-year warranty from the date of your original fitting. This warranty covers any tearing, cracking, or splitting of your custom earpieces, giving you peace of mind when it comes to the durability of your hearing protectors. We store your ear impressions for five years, the longest we can given changes in your anatomy as you age. Any paid reorder with a material warranty claim five years after the original impression will need a new impression.
However, please note that this warranty does not cover the metal anchor pulling out or the cord breaking due to improper removal of the earpiece. Removing your dB Blocker® incorrectly could damage your eardrum, so we recommend handling them with care.
Types of Warranties
We understand that comfort is crucial when it comes to wearing hearing protection. That’s why we offer our FitRight™ Warranty. If your dB Blockers® are not comfortable enough to wear, you can return them for a full credit within 90 days. At Custom Protect Ear, we prioritize your comfort and satisfaction with our products.
Product Replacement
Are you wondering how often you should replace your dB Blocker Hearing Protectors? The answer depends on several factors, including wear and tear and changes in your ear anatomy. Learn more about when to replace your hearing protectors.
How to Claim Your Warranty
If you need to make a warranty claim, simply contact your area representative with your serial number or provide your name and birthdate. Let us know which hearing protection device is damaged and how the damage occurred. If the device is unusable, send it to us, and we’ll begin crafting a new one. If it’s still functional, we’ll charge the company for the new device and issue a credit once the damaged product is returned.
Please remember that we require all defective dB Blocker® devices to be returned as part of our ISO 9001 continuous product improvement program.
Replacement Hearing Protectors
In addition to our standard warranty, we offer no-charge replacements in the following cases:
- If we make an error in the style of the custom earpiece you ordered.
- The earpiece is lost during shipping and does not arrive at your location.
However, we do not provide free replacements under the following circumstances:
- The cord anchor is pulled out of the earpiece due to improper handling.
- The earpiece is destroyed by an animal or machine.
- The earpiece is lost by the user.
- The earpiece is outside the warranty period.
- Returning Your Hearing Protection Product
- To return a hearing protection product, contact Custom Protect Ear to receive an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). Once you have the RMA number, mark it clearly on the outside of the package to be returned. If the product is electronic, it must be returned to its original packaging in good condition. Please note, that a restocking charge may apply.
Products replaced under warranty will be sent with a return mail envelope. Simply place your defective dB Blocker® earpieces into the envelope and mail them back to us.

How Long Will My dB Blocker® Hearing Protectors Last?
Our dB Blocker® hearing protection devices are made from proprietary medical-grade silicone designed to last indefinitely. However, subtle changes in your ear’s soft tissue or cartilage, or even weight fluctuations of more than 10 lbs, may affect the fit. Typically, we recommend replacing your hearing protectors every 4 to 5 years to ensure the best fit and protection.
